Based in Kununurra, our East Kimberley team offers Occupational Therapy sessions and Functional Capacity Assessments across the region — in clinic, at home, in schools, or out in the community.
We’re proud to have two incredible therapists, Evie and Hannah, who bring warmth, skill, and deep local understanding to their work. You can learn more about each therapist by reading their bios here: Evie and Hannah.
In the vibrant East Kimberley region of Western Australia, our mobile paediatric Occupational Therapy service is dedicated to supporting children and their families through a holistic and affirming approach. We believe that every question from parents deserves time and attention – because if it matters to you, it matters to us.
We’re passionate about helping families understand the science behind behaviour and regulation, and about ensuring every child receives the individualised support they deserve. Our work spans across clinic, home, school, and community settings – wherever children and families learn, play, and grow – as we build a collaborative team around each young person to support their development and wellbeing.
No referral is needed to access our services. We take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, listening closely and problem-solving together to find the best path forward for each family.
At Calm and Connected, we also offer workshops and training for schools, individuals, and organisations eager to learn how to support our wonderfully diverse population.

How to get involved?

We are excited to offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy at our East Kimberley clinic. EMDR is an evidence-based approach that can support people in processing a wide range of experiences—from everyday challenges to distressing memories linked to trauma or anxiety. EMDR therapy works by addressing how the brain stores and processes difficult experiences, enabling you to heal and move forward. It is suitable for a wide range of ages and concerns, and sessions are tailored to meet individual needs.
Evie has completed Level 1 EMDR Training and a specialised Neuroaffirming EMDR workshop. This ensures our approach is inclusive, client-centred, and responsive to diverse neurodivergent needs. You can access EMDR therapy through the usual referral process Services Intake Form. To learn more about EMDR and how it can benefit you or your loved ones, please feel free to contact us.
