At Calm and Connected we provide a number of services to support the development of social skills, emotional regulation and motor skills. We have developed these services by request from families who are seeking support for their kids. All our group programs and camps are run by Occupational Therapists and support staff. We design our programs so that therapy is embedded into the normal everyday activities that kids do at their age. This way the groups are fun and kids want to participate in the activities we do. The learning comes through in the moment application of strategies and teaching by our therapists. We also structure each group so that kids feel safe and supported.
We are able to cater for dietary requirements for the groups where food is provided.

Occupational Therapists can support children at home, school or in the community to allow them to participate in day to day activities. Whether it is building friendships, looking after themselves, completing school work or being a part of a sport team.
Psychologists can support children to develop strategies for managing their thoughts and emotions. They can work with parents or teachers to develop a plan to manage behaviours so that children can function at home and school.
At Calm and Connected we are a registered Behaviour Support provider under the NDIS. This is a line item that families can receive funding under when their child has challenging behaviours, also known as CB Improved Relationships.
In order to access therapy funding through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) some children are requiring Functional Assessments, which can be completed by our team.
We run a range of group programs from half day lego groups, full day social skills groups to overnight therapy intensives. These are an oportunity for children to develop social skills and practice strategies in the moment.
