Fees and Rebates

Calm and Connected aims to provide information and strategies to parents and teachers to support the development of their child. Sessions are designed to give parents and teachers strategies to implement in their daily routine. Our therapists support families and children through giving information, strategies and problem solving for specific goals.

INITIAL APPOINTMENTS & ASSESSMENTS

Initial appointments and assessments are charged at a slightly higher rate than therapy, as more time is required in sourcing and reading past reports or referrals, preparation and planning, scoring of data and formation of goals. Home visits are attended by a therapist and therapy assistant to allow parents the opportunity to give background information, set goals and discuss a therapy plan. Please allow upto 1.5 hours for assessments.

For some children it may be recommended to complete a school observation session to see how they are managing in the classroom. Some parents prefer this to occur before the first home visit so that their child does not recognise the therapist when they are sitting in their classroom.

At the end of the first session the therapist will discuss with you their findings and recommendations for home/school strategies. A plan can be discussed if further sessions are required and what these could look like. Parents are then able to make informed choices on what areas they would like support with and therefore what therapy the child requires.

Some tips to making the most out of your initial appointment:

*Please note, travel fees are calculated based on distance from our Piara Waters clinic location.

Payment for sessions can be made in the following ways:

  • Bank transfer
  • PayPal credit card – available on request

A receipt will be emailed for each session once payment has been received for your claim on private health/ Medicare/ Self Managed NDIS.
