Our Values
Calm and Connected has gone regional! We are now offering Occupational Therapy services in Kununurra and East Kimberly region with our incredible therapist Evie Marchetti being based in town. Check out Evie’s bio here. In addition we will be offering our intensive therapy model in Kununurra across the year. Additional occupational therapists and speech pathologists will be visiting our Kununurra therapy clinic during school holidays to provide intensive therapy blocks. These blocks provide intensive goal focused intervention. Out first intensive block in Kununurra will occur during the July 2024 school holidays.
What does it look like?
- Prior to your intensive block you will have an online zoom session to discuss the goals for the upcoming therapy block.
- During the therapy block there is the option for a 3 day or 2 day intensive. Each day your child will see a therapist for an hour to target the goal previously discussed.
- There is the option for a follow up zoom call following the intensive block, or can wait for the next allocated zoom call before the next intensive starts.
Why we love therapy intensives?
- It provides the opportunity to really focus on one goal area so that the child’s strengths can be developed and their areas for improvement be supported
- Multiple sessions over a short duration allows for the child and therapist to develop a quick close relationship so that the therapist is better able to understand the child.

It focuses the parents time and energy into school holiday blocks across the year, rather than the drag of weekly or fortnightly therapy.
Therapy intensive blocks can make therapy accessible for those who live out of town and need a burst of intervention strategies that they can then work on between face to face sessions.

3 Day Intensive Block:
6.5 hours includes goal setting consult, therapy, travel, and preparation
Total: $1,260.95 per therapy block
2 Day Intensive Block
4.75 hours includes goal setting consult, therapy, travel, and preparation
Total: $921.45 per therapy block
