Event Details

Join us for this interactive workshop that will help you to understand how to combine the newly published theory of affective-neuroscience within an occupational therapy clinical framework. This workshop is presented by Jacky Peile, Occupational Therapist and clinical team leader of Early Links, who has attended Camp Confidence for the past two years. Jacky has shown that developing innovative ways to apply new research into practice is possible when a solid clinical reasoning framework is used to measure and monitor changes in functional performance.

Day one of the event will include –

  • Presentation of Affective-Neuroscience principles from research
  • Discussion on the inter-relationship between affect, motor, sensory development
  • An afternoon of practical activities which highlight the seven primary emotions through experience
  • Applications to clinical practice

Day two of the event will include –

  • Observation of Jacky conducting treatment sessions from adjoining room with live stream
  • Participants will watch sessions in live time with facilitation by Kate Keisler and debrief with Jacky Peile following session
  • Have a tricky client? Participants are invited to book a client to co-treat with Jacky Peile by emailing calmandconnected@outlook.com or contacting Kate on 0430 645 086 to discuss suitability
