New Graduate Support
f you have recently graduated, or are within your first year of experience, you will be eligible for our 24-month New Graduate Support Pathway. Through this program you will gain key skills and learning opportunities through:
- an allocated supervisor; weekly for the first 3 months, then fortnightly for the following 3 months,
- monthly clinical education with senior practitioners,
- access to our library of online workshops which cover a wide breadth of skills and knowledge
- Graded increase in caseload starting from 50% capacity.

- Monthly team meetings
- Access to senior of the day and manager of the day for adhoc questions as needed

The Role
We are seeking an independent and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated to learn, passionate and demonstrate a strong commitment in assisting clients to reach their full potential. Your role includes:
- Conduct assessment and intervention for children and families.
- Develop treatment plans and programs to direct therapy assistants and occupational therapy students.
- Supervise and coordinate therapy students whilst they are on clinical placement.
- Maintain and develop therapeutic relationship with families and clients.
- Maintain patient occupational therapy records by recording client’s progress and writing reports.
- Provision of therapy in overnight intensives provided by Calm and Connected.
- Management and provision of group therapy programs.
- Delivery of training and educational opportunities for educational staff, occupational therapists and the community.
- Use of client management system in the upkeep of client records.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with AHPRA regulations and Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
- Enhance occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Contribute to workplace quality improvement and evidence based practice projects.
Qualifications and requirements needed.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Registration or ability to become registered with AHPRA
- An insured car and license
- A National Police Clearance, Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearing or willingness to obtain one before commencement.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in working with children
- Camp and/or therapy intensive model experiences
