We hold two Adventure Camps a year for 12 to 17 year olds (male and female). These overnight trips are a fun and active way to build friendships and life skills in an exciting and supportive environment.
For The July Adventure Camp, the group of 12 will be staying at Jarrah Forest Lodge. During the day they will be exploring the various mountain biking trails and hiking trails. The group gets divided into two based on the level of challenge they want. The participants will get tutorials and hands on experience in bike maintenance and riding for the first half of camp, followed by bush skills and hiking for the second half of camp. This camp will have three occupational therapists and two therapy assistants who will stay overnight and bike ride with the group to provide full support. Parents will receive a daily newsletter with updates from the group.
Drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon from Dwellingup.
Camp Out is held in the April school holidays for 12 to 16 year olds (male and female). Many children have difficulty with everyday skills such as listening, sitting still, staying focused, or joining in with others.
The Therapists at Calm and Connected provide mobile, clinic & online support to the adults surrounding a child and teach the child how to address the foundational skills that affect our ability to connect.
