Mothers play an integral role in supporting children to develop self regulation skills. Sessions often focus on strategies to develop a child’s self-regulation, though often we find it can be difficult for parents to implement these strategies as they are either stressed themselves or need some time to sit down and work out a plan on how to integrate strategies into their everyday routine.

The aim of this Mother’s Intensive Training is to:

  • Learn underpinning theory of self-regulation and how to apply this to yourself as a parent so that you can learn how to be an anchor for your child.
  • Learn how to support your child to build their self-regulation skills and develop a plan to implement when home.
  • Explore self regulation strategies so you can experience the stages of developing self regulation.
  • Connect with other mothers for peer support and sharing of strategies.

  • Pre retreat:
    • Phone call for goal setting
    • Application
  • Retreat
    • Group workshops on self regulation
    • Individual OT session to develop strategies for your child
    • Individual Psych session to develop strategies for your child
    • Pamper, quiet time, un-interrupted sleep, meals and accommodation

  • March 6th – 8th
  • June 26th – 28th
  • August 21st – 23rd
  • November 13th – 15th

Costs:
Total Cost: $2,101.23
NDIS funded portion: $1,721.23 – this covers the cost of the workshop and therapy sessions
Private paid portion: $380 – this covers the cost of accommodation, meals and massage

Maximum 10 places per weekend

Private paid portion: $50 – this covers the cost of accommodation, meals and massage
