How many emails will I get?
Day 1; Upon signing up you will get a welcome video which introduces the topic and what you are to be learning over the next few days
Day 2; Levels of alertness – we explain a common Occupational Therapy model Levels of Arousal and how we can move between feeling low, high and just right
Day 3; Bucket of energy – we all have a bucket of energy to cope with stress, learn about the size and what fills/empties the bucket
Day 4; Hand model of the brain – using Dan Siegel’s metaphor to explain survival and thinking mode
Day 5; The nervous system – how our nervous system processes information and can be geared towards a stress response that triggers behaviour
Day 6; The 5 domains of self regulation – using Stuart Shanker’s model to explain the different areas that we can experience stress in and how each area is then effected when there is a drain
Day 7: Summary video – to help bring it all together a recap each of the models that we looked at. It can be alot of information packed into a few minutes each day so this video is a small reminder of what we have learnt.
