Our Support Camps are a chance for children to have a break with their peers. Our disability support workers create a safe space for kids to relax and be themselves. Camp is all about social and community participation. This is a supported camp with an adult to child ratio of 1:3. We accept a maximum of 12 children on each of our camps.

Ages: for children 13 to 17 years

How long? We run 3 night/4 day camps on school holidays and mini camps that run over a weekend 2 nights/2 days during the term.

When are they? One support camp each school holidays; January, April, July and October school holidays. One mini camp per school term. See details below.

How many? On our support camps we have places for 12 children and our mini camps have 6 places.

Applications: Applications are submitted through our  application form online

Travel charge: For the Mini Support Camps, for any pickups outside of our area there will be a travel charge. This will be discussed prior to the camp.

Your child’s place is confirmed once a team member has spoken with you to confirm their place and account has been paid.

Please note: Due to the relaxed environment and 1:3 staff ratio, we are not able to accept children who have behavioural support needs. If your child is needing additional support and wants a camp opportunity then check out our Therapy Intensive Camps. Our therapy camps are to achieve goals and build on skills, where as our Support Camps are to have a break.

Our campers had a great time at the April support camp last year on their farm stay in York. Have a read of the updates from one of our support workers, Evie, to see what the group got up to.  Check out details here

Day 1

Finishing off an exciting first day of camp learning how to feed all the farm animals and sneaking in a ride on the hay tractor! We are tucking up now for a movie before we sleep 😴 Looking forward to a big day 2

Day 2

Animal grooming, baking, suspension bridge walk, pampering session & a trip to the motor museum. The highlight of or day was riding on the high wheeler. We think our support workers Tom and Evie enjoyed the pampering session a little too much 💆🏼‍♀️💅🏻

Day 3

Today we enjoyed a morning walk to see our favourite animals and then we had a visit from the Emergency Services. We loved trying on the hand cuffs and got to sit in their police car and ambulance and hear the sirens. In the afternoon we did craft and had a Pilates lesson. It was nice to have a good stretch after 3 big days of camp!

After feeding the animals one last time and enjoying a yummy dinner, we are settling in for another movie before bed. We can’t wait to see all our family (and pets) tomorrow!

Day 4
Waving goodbye April Support Camp 👋🏼 A final walk to see our animal friends one last time before we start the trip home. Thanks to all for making it one to remember! See you at the closing ceremony family!

What one of our campers mums have had to say!

Hi Joelle,
I just wanted to let you know that XX had the most amazing time on the camp. He rated it a 9.5/10 Haha. I think XX made some great friends, and hopefully he can come again to another one in the future.
I also wanted to say thank you for all the effort taken with his allergies and organising the food. Such a weight off my shoulders.
You guys do a great job and what a beautiful bunch of kids, so much gorgeous positive energy in that conference room today, you could tell they all had a ball .

Thanks again
XXX Mum
